Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
